Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial

Middle East Conflicts Memorial Wall

The Memorial Wall was erected by volunteers from the motorcycle community, with labor,
materials and assistance from local businesses. The entire project has been funded by private
donations. The memorial is located next to the Illinois River with Illini State Park in the
background. It stands at 200 Riverfront Drive, Marseilles, Illinois Exit 97 off 1-80. On the
third Saturday in June a dedication ceremony will be held at the wall. Thousands will come
by car, bus and motorcycle to dedicate the new panels and to honor these brave men and
women. There will be a shared reading of every newly added name to the Memorial. It is an
observance by those assembled to confer honor on those who have passed and to give
comfort to the surviving families.

Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors

When the unthinkable happens to America’s military families and a loved one is
taken by war, illness, accident, or suicide – there’s an organization uniquely
designed to meet their needs. The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors
(TAPS), a caring community of families that have suffered similar losses, is
waiting to walk alongside the newly bereaved.

Honor the Fallen Memorial Quilts

Our Mission Statement is to honor the brave men and women, who have given
the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, by creating an "Honor The Fallen"
Memorial Quilt Display. Each fallen hero will be honored with a personalized 3’
x 6’ memorial quilt panel created by their families, friends and volunteer
quilters. These memorial quilts will be displayed on tour throughout the United
States as a tribute to their sacrifice. Our secondary goal is to raise funds to
assist family members, of the fallen, with financial assistance for travel to
tributes, memorial services, and other memorial events.

Project Compassion portraits may be requested ONLY by the designated
primary next of kin of a fallen American military service member who has
passed away in active service since the terrorist attacks of September 11,
2001, regardless of the location or circumstances of death.
We will not accept
portrait requests from friends, associates, community organizations, neighbors
and relatives who are not designated primary next of kin, to help ensure that
those who are not entitled to this valuable work of art do not acquire it at the
expense of the next of kin.
We deeply regret that Project Compassion is not funded for portraits of heroes
who do not meet the above requirements, such as those who have served in
other military conflicts prior to 9/11/2001 such as policemen, firefighters,
border patrol, accident or murder victims, etc.

I am deeply honored to be Chairman of the Board of Snowball Express.

Representing countless volunteers and corporations, but most importantly, having the opportunity to serve the
families of our fallen heroes, is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. As I have told nearly everyone I
know, my experience with Snowball Express families for the past two years has been life-changing. To the thousands
of volunteers and supporters who helped make it happen, you are, in my eyes, also truly heroes.
For those of us blessed to have seen Snowball Express 2006 and 2007 in person , we will never forget the impact.
Children who really smiled for the first time since their father or mother had died, spouses who cried in the arms of
strangers and became bonded for life, and realized that people still cared. There were children who saw other kids
just like them for the first time and, finally, volunteers who shared an experience with a family that put a face on
the tremendous sacrifice these families have endured.

We make many choices in life; one we don't have is the manner in which we die. These fallen heroes had no choice
in that decision but they did have a choice in how they lived their lives…in the service of their country to defend the
freedoms we share and to give that gift to others…a noble cause worthy of our respect.
We, as supporters of Snowball Express, do have a choice on how we live our lives now; to honor the memories of
these fallen heroes and to bring as much joy as we can to their children and spouses. As Snowball Express
volunteers, we are proud to be Americans and proud to honor these families.

The price of freedom is real to these children and is paid every day with lost memories of loved ones who are no
longer with them. Please join Snowball Express volunteers and supporting companies…make the choice of changing
the lives of these families, and help make Snowball Express 2008 another life-changing one.
Believe it….the life you change may be your own.
May God bless you, and God bless America.

Roy White,
Chairman of the Board
Snowball Express

Grant Memorial Plaques for Fallen
Operation “Americans Supporting Our Troops” is our chance to show our
appreciation to the families of the brave service members who have died serving
our country since the beginning of Operation Enduring Freedom.
We are producing a granite memorial plaque, laser-etched with a picture of each
warrior along with text selected by his or her family. With the family’s
permission, a duplicate plaque also will be produced and stored. Our goal is to
create, at the end of this conflict and with the support of anyone who would like
to participate in this endeavor, a memorial wall to be built here in Iowa, the
heart of America.
We owe these brave ones and their families a debt that we will never be able to
repay. These plaques are offered by Creative Edge at no charge as a token of
our gratitude for the inestimable sacrifice you've made.
